We’ve just released a passel of new features that give you added SEO power and make getting started with Optify easier than ever. You’ll be able to see who’s linking to your site, work with simplified billing, try new trainers, and more. In addition, we’ve also released a beefed up version of Optify for Salesforce that will help you get up and running quickly.
See who’s linking to you
Getting links to your site is an important part of search engine optimization. But how can you keep track of what domains are linking to you? The answer is now a click away in the Optify.
In the Pages application, just click the number in the Links (unique domains) column or the Inbound links (unique domains) number in Page Detail. We’ll show you the top 100 most influential links to your pages from unique domains. At the same time, we’ll make it easy to add any URLs you’re not already tracking to the Links application. Just include the links from the recommended list that you want to follow, click Track These Links and voilà! Learn more about the Pages app here.
Built-in links for Links
Having access to inbound links in Pages is great, but the Links app doesn’t wait for you to ask. If you haven’t added any URLs to that application, we’ll add some for you — up to 100 of the internet domains linking to your site. A pop-up announcement points out the new links.
If you don’t see any links in the Links window, it means Optify couldn’t find any domains linking to your pages. In any case, you can use the Add URLs or Get Suggestions button to start tracking links. Learn more about Links here.
Pay and go
Signing up or upgrading your account is now just a few clicks away. Our new system lets you upgrade or customize your edition or subscription details in a series of easy-to-follow online forms much like those on many shopping sites. All it takes is a credit card and a minute of your time.
Your annual subscription gives you the choice of paying monthly, quarterly, or annually. You can save money by paying each quarter or each year in advance. The subscriptions are renewed and billed automatically, and we’ll always send an email to inform you of this payment at renewal time. Learn more about online billing here.
Optify for Salesforce
In this release, we’ve also updated our Optify for Salesforce application. This new version lets you post website activity of your lead or contact to that individual’s Activity History list as well as the Activity History list for the related Account and Opportunity. This means that you can start seeing a summary of website activity without having to configure lead, contact, account, and opportunity layouts. (Of course you’ll still want to configure those layouts to get the most out of them.)
Optify for Salesforce now also includes a new Administration page. This page walks you through configuration checklists for the Salesforce and Optify applications. For example, the page guides you through screen layouts and security permissions. We think you’ll find it a usefuly way to speed up your integration of Optify with your Salesforce.com instance.
In addition, the Administration page lets administrators enable or disable website activity postings to Chatter feeds as well as the new Activity list. Learn more about Optify for Salesforce here.
See lists in your Links export file
The Links application’s export feature just got a little better as well. If you’ve assigned any of your links to lists, that list information will now be added to the exported file. Now it’s easier than ever to retain the context of your link’s lists when your work with them outside of the Optify applicationLearn more about Links here.
Trainers for your pages
What else is new? The Pages and Page Details features now include the same guided learning tools previously introduced to the Lead Intelligence, Lead Detail, and Keyword applications. You can start the training at any time by clicking the Need Help? We’re here tab at the bottom of your browser. Learn more about Pages here.
If you don’t feel a need for trainers anymore, we’ve taken care of that too — just keep reading.
Keep trainers out of your way
You can dismiss Optify’s guided trainer tools at any time by clicking the Hide for now tab. But many power users never want to see the trainer at all (not even the minimized golden tab). For them, we added the ability to make all trainers completely invisible on a per-user basis.
To do that, click Settings in the upper right corner. In the Settings window, click the Users tab. In the list on the left, select a user who doesn’t want to see the trainer tab and check the Hide training tours box. Then click Save. Learn more about hiding trainers here.
Let us know how you feel about these or any other features. And stay tuned for even greater things to come!
