The Pages application just got more useful, with an enhanced Import feature and a new Export feature. As if that wasn’t enough, we’ve added new features to Page Details and Keywords while improving and simplifying a number of other tasks.
Pages Coming and Going
You probably already know that the Pages application lets you import a list of pages from a file saved as Excel or CSV (comma separated values). But now you can add keywords to your file so that each imported page already has a list of keywords for which the page has been optimized.
All you do is add a column to your spreadsheet that includes keywords (separated by commas) for each page. When your file is ready, click the Import link, select the file, and voila! Instant keywords with each of your pages!
And don’t worry about manually correlating these words with the Keywords app. Any new keywords added using this feature are automatically added to the Keywords app if they aren’t already there.
Export pages information
Improved import is fine, but what about Export? Pages now has its own export feature, which saves all the info in the Pages tab to a CSV file. But Export goes a step further as well: The saved file also includes all target keywords for each page, not just ones that you see in the table. And it includes any lists that you created for your pages.
So if you’re the kind who finds it easier to make changes in a spreadsheet, just export your pages data, edit away, and then import. No muss, no fuss.

Detail Done Right
Page Detail also sports new features and enhancements, including the ability to organize issues with lists and search in the Optimize With keyword list. For example, if your keyword list has grown to daunting proportions, it may be hard to find what you need in Page Detail’s Optimize With box. Not to worry! Just type what you’re looking for into the new Search box to find the word or phrase you need.
The Page Optimization Results table is looking newer, too. In place of the Actions column, moving your mouse over a table row displays options to Assign to List, Add a Note, or Remove the row altogether. These features echo the handy ones you’ve come to expect in other Optify tables.
Customizing Keywords
But wait, there’s more! The Keyword List table already lets you customize the columns shown for Summary and Competitor views by clicking the icon at the far right of the Keyword List title bar. With this release, however, you can customize all three views (Summary, Competitor, and Performance). Changes are saved with individual views, letting you show or hide only the information you want with each view.
Enhancements Galore
In addition to new features, our latest release adds many convenient options to make your Optify experience simpler. For example, we’ve added the handy Add Competitor dialog box to the keyword-related reports of the Reports application. If you haven’t already specified competitors, working on such a report is likely to prompt you and give you a simple tool for doing so.
We’ve also added Don’t Show Again options to some of our prompts so you can decide whether or not you need certain reminders. And help links in those prompts give you easy access to more information.
All in all, we think it’s a pretty great release. We hope you do, too.
