If you have a landing page that is designed to push traffic to your site or to get customers to buy your product, you have to ensure that the page is optimized for conversion. Without properly designing your landing page chances are it will do you no good. Here is a list of 5 reasons that could be the problem with low-performing pages.

5 Reasons Your Pages Aren’t Converting

  1. Your Source Page and Landing Page Aren’t in Sync – If you are promising more on your source page than you are delivering on your landing page, this could be a major problem. You never, ever offer something on your source that you do not deliver. This is the best way to lose conversions and your reputation for that matter.
  2. You Have a Slow Loading Page – People are not going to wait for an interminable amount of time for your page to load. If you want people to buy from you then you should give them a fast loading page. Most internet users today are accustomed to fast load times. Patience is a virtue lost on the internet world.
  3. Your Page Is not Designed with Your Market in Mind – You have to tweak your landing pages for each market. You should ensure that each page is designed with its own specific market in mind. You should also ensure that wording and phrasing is done with your specific market in mind. Give the people what they want and they will convert.
  4. Your Page Is Ugly – This may seem harsh but if you are using bold colors, distracting images and other gimmicks just because you think they look good, you are causing your page to fail. You want your page to be tastefully designed. If you are putting something distracting on there like blinking banners then they had better have a purpose in your overall scheme of things.
  5. You Are Using the Wrong Keywords – This is one of the biggest mistakes that internet marketers make. You have to make certain that you are using the proper keywords for your business but you have to also ensure that they keywords you are using are converters. Action driven keywords are best for landing pages. Test a few to see what works for you and then make sure that you are being consistent with your content.
