How to Launch and Optimize your WordPress Blog for Content Marketing
According to the Roper Public Affairs, 80% of business decision makers prefer to get company information in a series of articles versus an advertisement. 70% say content marketing makes them feel closer to the company and 60% say that company content helps them make better purchasing decisions.
The research shows that more people are reading blogs, those people expect your company to have a social media presence, and blogs influence their purchasing decisions. Creating and distributing relevant and valuable content to attract, acquire, and engage your target audience is the key to communicating with your customers and prospects without selling. Blogs are influencing purchasing decisions because they are informing buyers to make smarter decisions, which is important for every company.
Those are very compelling reasons for companies to start blogging or to improve their existing blog!
For those of us who regularly consume information from blogs, we expect to be able to grab an RSS feed of your company’s blog to keep up with news and information relevant to your industry.
Search Engine Optimization (SEO).
One of the biggest advantages of having a corporate blog is increasing your visibility online. Blogging adds rich content to your site giving search engines another keyword-optimized page to look at, another set of title tags for them to index, and another way for people to find your site.
Great content on your blog can position your company and employees as thought leaders within the industry and make your company more personable by highlighting personalities of individual contributors.
