Digital Marketing Agencies: Should Inbound Marketing Vendors Care About Your Cash Flow? Optify Does.
Sunrise on a Saturday morning. A steaming cup of coal-black French roast coffee. I always throw a couple extra scoops in the Krups machine when I have time to enjoy it. And then I get just a sliver of time to reflect. Like much of my adult life, I’m thinking about business this morning. And at the core of business, literally chiseled in stone on the very foundation, is cash flow.
Sometimes I shake my head that the simplest of ideas in business are either ignored or worse yet not understood by vendors and maybe even competitors of ours that can’t put themselves in their customers’ or partners’ shoes.
When we designed our digital marketing agency partner program, we thought a lot about your businesses and what is important from your point of view. I’ve founded a business and run my own consulting firm . . . twice. I feel pretty comfortable saying that any services business owner or managing partner thinks about cash flow every day of the week.
Bringing in more cash from your clients than payroll and rent pulls out the business is a monthly battle. So why would any vendor put in place a program requiring a services business to pay for the year of software up front, for either themselves or their clients? We didn’t do that here at Optify.
Oh sure, we would love to have everyone pay us for the year up front, and in fact we provide customers some nice incentives to do so. But we don’t force our digital marketing agency partners to pay for the year up front because we know agencies are cash flow driven and paying a month at a time works a lot better for most.
We want to be good partners with our growing ecosystem of agency partners using Optify’s Digital Marketing Edition, so we designed our payment plans around your cash flow needs. Why? We want to be a good partner and as such we work to understand your business requirements.
Do me a favor. Ask any vendor requiring you to pay up front just how good of a partner they are or how much they really understand (or more to the point care about) your business. At Optify, we’re easy to work with. Rob
