Specializing in women’s health content, LifeScript relies on high volumes of organic traffic to build its subscriber base and maintain a steady stream of advertising revenue. While the company already saw the value of search engine optimization (SEO), it recognized the need to enhance its SEO strategies in order to remain a leader in this highly competitive publishing space.
Specifically, LifeScript needed a more focused SEO strategy to support its shift from a lifestyle content site to a women’s health site. Optify Solutions
To accomplish its goals, LifeScript used the Optify Inbound Marketing solution to render strategic analysis and recommendations for improving SEO performance. Optify performed an SEO audit of the LifeScript site to identify specific keyword opportunities that were achievable given the authority of the Lifescript site, existing content, and available resources. Next, Optify provided LifeScript with a set of technical and strategic recommendations, focusing on keyword research and a shortlist of focus keywords in the Optify Keyword application. Additionally, Lifescript Incorporated Optify page optimizations, optimized internal links and built inbound links through effective content creation distributed on social media sites like Twitter and Facebook.
Results
Within 3 months, LifeScript has increased their top search results rank for the targeted keywords recommended by Optify. As a result, LifeScript increased its visits from organic traffic and page views from organic visits by 20% on a basis of millions of pages. “Without Optify, this work would have taken our internal team twice as long to accomplish,” said Schulenberg. “Thanks to these new keywords, we’ve been able to drive significant increases in organic traffic, which means we can build our readership while offering advertising space at a premium.”
